We’re thoroughly enjoying our time so far at Connections 2019—as well as exploring the great city of Chicago! We are grateful to be a part of this event again and, as expected, we’re learning a ton about how to best leverage our favorite Salesforce products and connect with customers.
We’ve been providing updates on our Instagram as we go and wanted to share a bit more info with all of you about what we’ve experienced so far at this amazing event.
With over 450 sessions to choose from, we had quite a time choosing which ones we wanted to attend! Here are a couple of pictures of our team enjoying themselves after we arrived.
Our very own Chris Zullo deserves the most-spirited shoe award!
Happy Hour with LiveArea
We had 179 people RSVP to our Happy Hour event at Apogee! RelationEdge and LiveArea co-hosted the event and we enjoyed meeting with representatives from Salesforce, our clients, and those who are interested in learning more about what RelationEdge and LiveArea have to offer. We loved the signature cocktails: The Nymph (vodka, elderflower, sparkling rose, and raspberry powder) and the Aloe-Rita (frozen tequila, fresh lime, and charro aloe vera.) Yum! We also loved getting to hear what people love most about Salesforce and learning about new opportunities to leverage the platform.
Day 2 Salesforce Keynote
We kicked off Day 2 by attending “Become a Trailblazer: Build a 360° View of Your Customer” featuring speakers Stephanie Buscemo, CMO of Salesforce, and Fawad Ahmad, SVP of Digital & Customer Experience at State Farm. The presentation opened with an amazing performance by Second City, followed by a great talk on new technologies and changing customer expectations — and how Salesforce helps meet the demands of today’s consumer.
Salesforce for Marketing: Engagement Reimagined for Today’s Connected Customer
This keynote was presented by Matt Tippets, VP of Product Strategy for Salesforce, as well as Dr. Allison Barber, the President and COO of Indiana Fever, and Alex Bates of PageGroup. We loved learning about how Salesforce intends to deliver AI-fueled, real-time, engaging customer experiences.
Demo Jams are a game show-style way for a handful of app partners showcase their app in three minutes or less. It’s a great way to increase brand exposure, talk to potential customers about your app, and network! Our very own Chris Zullo was the host of Demo Jam: Battle of the App Demos, and here he is presenting the win to Klarna!
This keynote featured execs from Land O’Lakes, Party City, and Spalding who walked us through how to create a seamless customer experience using tools like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, Community Cloud, Einstein Analytics, and MuleSoft. Connecting commerce with other channels can be a challenge, but these companies are using Salesforce to do it.
We closed out an amazing and busy day two watching Gwen Stefani rock the crowd. The house was packed and the energy was high, as you can see from our pictures!
We’re off to enjoy the rest of this last day at Connections 2019! Thanks for following along, and don’t forget to check back on the RelationEdge blog to find out about our biggest takeaways and insights from the event.
